A collection of random diatribes.

Ooops, I did it again...

My latest CD purchase from BMG was Sixpence None The Richer's Greatest Hits collection.

I picked it up because I dug their song "Kiss Me" and their cover of "Their She Goes." Yeah, I know, go ahead and poke fun, it's all good.

Anyway, I told my buddy I was listening to it.

He asked me if I bought Stryper, too.

WTF?

Yes, dear readers, I managed to pick up yet another religious album.

I think God is trying to tell me something.

I have no idea what it is yet, but He's sneaking CDs into my collection.

Now I'm getting paranoid.

Oh Holy God. Are they religious, too?

I think I remember you mentioning that.

Please don't tell me Disturbed is Christian metal.

Oh, and Ace:

"Together, this collection of songs chronicles the dedication Sixpence has shown to Briner's call for believers to "…confidently carry their faith with them into the marketplace so that our very culture feels the difference." Time and again, from Regis to Leno, the members of Sixpence have found opportunity to speak their faith by simply answering questions about the literary reference that birthed their name."

The book they mention is of course Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis.

You should look into Pedro the Lion. The only Christian band that I can try to stomach. It gets to be a bit much at times, but he is damn good.

There ya go... I outed myself.

I have that book, in case you're interested in reading it, Stewie. Unless you've already snuck in my room and read it when I wasn't looking.

Do you want me to go through your music and pick out the rest of your religious music and ruin it for you?

I'd be more than happy to. :-D
